Hale is a small village in the borough of Halton, in Cheshire in north‑west England. It sits close to the Mersey estuary between Runcorn and Widnes, retaining a largely rural character of farmland, pockets of woodland and scattered housing while sitting within sight of the industrial river corridor and its bridges.
Historically an agricultural parish with roots stretching back several centuries, Hale now combines local farming and small businesses with a commuter population who travel to nearby centres such as Liverpool and Manchester. The village has a tight‑knit community feel, a handful of older buildings and local events and footpaths that attract walkers and people who like a quieter base close to the bigger towns.
