Halewood is a civil parish on the south‑eastern fringe of Liverpool in the Metropolitan Borough of Knowsley, Merseyside. Once a small village, it expanded markedly in the 20th century and today combines residential neighbourhoods and industrial estates with a scattering of parks and greenbelt countryside, giving a semi‑suburban feel on the edge of the city region.
The area is best known economically for its large car assembly plant, originally built by Ford and now operated by Jaguar Land Rover, which remains one of the biggest local employers. Community life features active local clubs, churches and regeneration projects aimed at improving housing and services, while its history as a village and later post‑war growth shape the local character.
