Bursledon is a riverside parish in the Borough of Eastleigh, Hampshire, England, set on the north bank of the River Hamble just east of Southampton. The village grew from a medieval settlement into a centre for shipbuilding and brickmaking in the 18th and 19th centuries; surviving landmarks include the restored Bursledon Windmill and the industrial heritage and nature reserve at Bursledon Brickworks.
Today Bursledon balances a commuter role with a lively marine and leisure economy - boatyards, marinas and sailing clubs remain important - and a strong local community life centred on riverside pubs, walking routes and small-scale events that reflect its nautical character.
