Chandler's Ford is a suburban area in the borough of Eastleigh, Hampshire, England, sitting roughly between Southampton and Winchester. It grew from a small rural settlement beside watercourses such as Monks Brook into a substantial commuter suburb through late 19th- and 20th-century housing development, and still benefits from a mix of green spaces and lakes, notably the recreational Hiltingbury Lakes, which give the area a pleasantly semi-rural feel despite its proximity to the cities.
Today Chandler's Ford combines a family-oriented residential character with local retail centres, small business and light industrial estates, and an active community life centred on sports clubs, schools and local societies. Its convenient road and public-transport links make it popular with commuters, while the surviving Victorian and interwar housing, post-war estates and pockets of newer development reflect the layered social and economic history of the area.
