West End South is the southern ward of the village within the borough of Eastleigh in Hampshire, England. It is largely residential, with a mix of Victorian cottages and 20th‑century housing, a small parade of shops, pubs and community facilities, and convenient commuter links towards Southampton and Winchester via the M27 and nearby rail connections.
The area’s history is one of gradual suburban growth from former heathland and small hamlets, and local life tends to centre on village halls, sports clubs and annual events. Economically many residents commute to nearby employment centres and to Southampton Airport, while green spaces and commons just beyond the ward remain popular for walking and informal recreation.
