Abbotts Ann is a compact rural village and civil parish in Test Valley, Hampshire, England, lying a few miles north of Andover amid rolling chalk downland. The setting includes springs and streams characteristic of Hampshire’s chalk country, with peaceful lanes, water-meadows and a strong sense of countryside close to the military training areas of Salisbury Plain.
The village has a well-preserved historic core of timber‑framed and thatched houses and a long‑standing parish church, and much of it falls within a conservation area. Locally the economy is shaped by agriculture, small rural businesses and commuting to nearby towns, while community life centres on the village hall, seasonal events and efforts to protect the local landscape and character.
