Flamstead is a compact village and civil parish in Dacorum, Hertfordshire, England, set on the chalk stream of the River Ver at the foot of the Chiltern Hills. It sits between St Albans and Hemel Hempstead and has ancient roots with Roman and medieval traces; a historic parish church and a cluster of timber‑framed cottages give the centre a strong conservation‑area character.
Today the parish is largely residential with surrounding farmland, a handful of local businesses and an active village community that runs events from the village hall and pub. Its attractive position and good rail and road links make it popular with commuters travelling to London and nearby towns, while still retaining a distinctly rural, village feel.
