Tring is a compact market town in the borough of Dacorum, west Hertfordshire, England, sitting on the northern edge of the Chiltern Hills. Its Georgian and Victorian streets reflect a long history as a local market and railway town, and the arrival of the line transformed it into a pleasant commuter hub with a characterful high street.
The town is noted for the Natural History Museum collection founded by the Rothschilds and the nearby Tring Reservoirs, a nationally important birding and nature spot, while the Grand Union Canal and Tring Park add recreational green space. Economically it mixes independent shops, small businesses and commuters into London, giving it a lively local culture and active community life.
