Chandler's Cross is a small hamlet in the Three Rivers district of Hertfordshire, England, sitting just outside the larger settlements of Maple Cross and Rickmansworth. It occupies a semi-rural spot on the edge of the London greenbelt, with open fields and patches of woodland nearby and reasonably quick road links via the M25 and local A-roads, making it popular with commuters heading into London or the wider Home Counties.
Historically it grew as a modest rural community with a number of older cottages and farm buildings, and today retains that village feel while being influenced by nearby light industry and small businesses. Residents tend to rely on neighbouring towns for most services, but local social life is shaped by village organisations, country walks and easy access to waterways and green spaces in the Colne Valley area, which give the place a distinctly semi-rural character.
