St. Martin's

The island of St. Martin's sits in the Isles of Scilly off the south‑west coast of England. It is low‑lying and windswept, with dunes, sandy beaches and a patchwork of small fields; the tiny settlements of Higher Town and Lower Town cluster around a sheltered quay and simple harbour used for boats to St Mary's.

A year‑round community of only a few hundred people combines small‑scale flower growing, fishing and summer tourism, so the island feels peaceful and community‑led rather than commercial.
