Hastingleigh is a small rural village and civil parish in the borough of Ashford, in Kent, England. Perched on the North Downs, it sits amid chalk downland with wide views over the Weald and is close to long-distance walking routes such as the Pilgrims' Way; the settlement is home to only a few hundred people and retains a distinctly rural feel while being within commuting distance of Ashford.
The village has medieval roots and a collection of traditional flint and timber cottages, and the local economy remains largely agricultural - grazing and arable on the chalk soils - complemented by small businesses and commuters. Its quiet, conservation-minded character, scenic lanes and access to countryside walking make it popular with walkers and those seeking a tranquil slice of Kentish downland rather than a busy urban centre.
