Knockholt is a compact, largely rural village and civil parish in the district of Sevenoaks, Kent, England, sitting on the chalk ridge of the North Downs. Its elevated position gives wide views over the Weald and the village retains a strong country character with a green, scattered hamlets, ancient lanes and pockets of woodland, many buildings protected within a conservation area.
Historically agricultural, local life today mixes small-scale farming and local trades with commuters who use nearby stations to reach London. Community life centres on the village hall, the parish church and a couple of traditional pubs, and residents stage seasonal events such as the summer fete and bonfire night, helping keep a close-knit, village atmosphere despite proximity to the commuter belt.
