Shoreham is a compact village and civil parish in the district of Sevenoaks, Kent, sitting in the Darent valley beneath the chalk of the North Downs. The village lies beside the River Darent and is close to countryside attractions such as the Lullingstone Roman Villa; its core is a conservation area of flint cottages, listed buildings and a historic parish church, giving a strongly rural and historic character.
Historically agricultural, Shoreham is now largely a commuter community with local shops, a pub, primary school and active village groups, while a nearby station and good road links make Sevenoaks and London accessible for work. The surrounding Kent Downs landscape draws walkers and offers a quieter alternative to busier town centres.
