East Peckham is a substantial village and civil parish in the borough of Tonbridge and Malling in Kent, set on the floodplain of the River Medway and edging into the Weald of Kent, which gives a pleasing mix of riverside meadows and farmland. The parish includes smaller hamlets such as Beltring and Golden Green, and its landscape and buildings still reflect a strong hop‑growing and orchard heritage, with oast houses and former mill sites among the local landmarks.
Today the village combines a traditional rural community - pubs, village halls, sports clubs and nature walks along the Medway - with a commuter element, many residents travelling to Tonbridge, Maidstone or London for work, so it feels both quietly agricultural and connected to nearby towns.
