Goudhurst is a village and civil parish in the borough of Tunbridge Wells, in the county of Kent, England. It sits on a ridge in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with sweeping views across the Weald; the parish also includes small hamlets such as Kilndown and Curtisden Green.
The village is noted for its well‑preserved timber‑framed and Georgian buildings clustered around St Mary’s Church with its prominent spire, and for the 1747 local stand against the Hawkhurst Gang often called the Battle of Goudhurst. Today it’s a conservation‑minded rural community combining farming, small businesses, tourism, village pubs and events, while many residents commute to Tunbridge Wells or London.
