Speldhurst is a village and civil parish lying just south of Tunbridge Wells in Kent, England. Set on the edge of the High Weald, the parish includes the neighbouring settlements of Langton Green and Fordcombe and is characterised by rolling farmland, orchards, wooded combes and a mix of timber‑framed cottages and Georgian houses clustered around a medieval parish church.
Historically the area was given over to hops and small‑scale farming, but today it functions largely as a desirable commuter spot for people working in Tunbridge Wells and London. Despite that, it retains a strong local identity with a village hall, school, pubs and clubs, regular community events and good walking country nearby, making it a typical attractive Kentish village that balances heritage with modern living.
