Cliviger is a small, largely rural parish on the eastern edge of the borough of Burnley in Lancashire, England. It sits where the lowlands meet the moorland of the South Pennines, close to the border with West Yorkshire and the market town of Todmorden, so it feels remote yet connected to the old industrial towns nearby.
The landscape is a mix of steep valleys, moorland and stone-built settlements, making it popular with walkers and anyone who enjoys wide views towards Pendle Hill and the surrounding hills. Historically the area was shaped by small-scale coal mining and quarrying and by links to the textile economy of neighbouring towns, and today it retains a quiet, close-knit village character with visible traces of that industrial past.
