Bitteswell is a small village and civil parish in the district of Harborough, Leicestershire, England, set in gently rolling South Leicestershire countryside a few miles from Lutterworth. It has a compact, conservation-area feel with traditional stone and brick houses clustered around a village core, and benefits from good road links for commuters being not far from the M1 motorway and larger centres such as Leicester and Coventry.
The village has an interesting 20th‑century layer to its story: a former airfield on the edge of the parish played a wartime and post‑war role and later accommodated light industry and aviation testing, giving a distinctly mixed rural and industrial character. Socially, Bitteswell retains an active community life centred on the church, village hall and local groups, while the surrounding farmland and hedgerows keep the area looking quintessentially Leicestershire.
