Byard's Leap is a tiny roadside hamlet in North Kesteven, Lincolnshire, England, set in the open, gently rolling limestone countryside typical of central Lincolnshire. The area is largely agricultural, with arable fields, hedgerows and narrow lanes giving it a distinctly rural character rather than any built-up centre.
The place is best known for a colourful local legend - the eponymous "leap" of a horse - commemorated in local stories and a modest roadside marker, and the name keeps the folklore alive. Socially it has a very small, close-knit community and depends on nearby villages and market towns for shops and services; like much of the county the surrounding landscape also contains traces of older routes and archaeological interest.
