Metheringham is a village and civil parish in the district of North Kesteven, Lincolnshire, England, sitting just off the A15 and within easy reach of Lincoln. It occupies the edge of the low-lying fen and heath landscapes that characterise much of central Lincolnshire, with broad views, arable farmland and a compact village centre of shops, pubs and local services.
The village is perhaps best known for its wartime airbase, RAF Metheringham, which has a small memorial and visitor interest reflecting the area’s Second World War history. Today the local economy remains rooted in agriculture and local trades, with commuters travelling to nearby towns; a medieval parish church and an active community life keep Metheringham feeling both historic and village-centred.
