Riseholme is a small village in the West Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England, lying a few miles north of Lincoln beside the north bank of the River Witham. It sits in gently rolling arable countryside and is popular with commuters to the city as well as walkers enjoying the estate woodlands and riverside paths.
The village is best known for its historic country estate, Riseholme Hall and surrounding Riseholme Park, which now host agricultural and land-based education through Riseholme College, part of the University of Lincoln. That mix of education, rural enterprise and parkland recreation gives Riseholme a distinct local economy and social life centred on farming, horticulture, equestrian activities and community events rather than heavy industry.
