Cuxton is a small village and civil parish on the north bank of the River Medway, within the unitary authority of Medway in England. It sits in a largely rural stretch of Kent between Rochester and Strood, with good rail links on the Medway Valley line and views across the river towards the North Downs. The riverside setting gives the village a mix of floodplain meadows, river walks and attractive historic buildings.
Historically the settlement has deep roots, with a medieval parish church and archaeological finds hinting at earlier activity along the river. Today Cuxton is largely residential, with an active village community centred on the church and village hall, local clubs and riverside leisure; economically most residents commute to nearby towns while the surrounding countryside still supports agriculture and wildlife conservation.
