Ickburgh is a small, quiet village and civil parish in the district of Breckland, set within the distinctive sandy heaths of Norfolk in England. It feels very much part of The Brecks landscape, with open skies, pockets of woodland and the characterful, flint-built cottages and farmsteads that mark the area.
The local economy remains largely agricultural, with arable farms and grazing land surrounding the village, while conservation interest in rare heathland plants and birds draws occasional walkers and naturalists. Socially it’s a close-knit rural community with the usual village institutions - a church, a village hall and community events - and a slow-paced, strongly local sense of place.
