North Elmham is a small rural village and civil parish in the district of Breckland, in the county of Norfolk, England. Set amid the gently rolling arable farmland and pocket heathland typical of central Norfolk, it lies north of Dereham and within easy reach of Norwich, so many residents commute to larger towns while local life still revolves around farming and village amenities.
Historically the village is notable for the remains of an episcopal palace and associated Anglo‑Saxon and medieval church sites, which give the place a distinctly layered past. Today it retains a close‑knit community feel with a village hall and pub, occasional local events and a landscape valued for its quiet character, wildlife and connections to the wider history of East Anglia.
