Thornham is a small coastal parish and village in the district of King's Lynn and West Norfolk, in Norfolk, England. It sits on the North Norfolk coast within the Norfolk Coast AONB, tucked behind shingle banks and dunes with salt marshes and open views towards The Wash and the nearby nature reserve of Scolt Head Island.
The village has a long maritime character - historically linked with a small harbour and the kind of coastal trade and smuggling stories typical of the area - but today’s economy leans on tourism, holiday cottages, small-scale fishing and surrounding agriculture. Its mix of thatched cottages, a village pub and quiet footpaths makes Thornham popular with birdwatchers and walkers, while a small resident community swells in the summer with visitors enjoying the wildlife and shoreline.
