Bawburgh is a small rural parish in the district of South Norfolk, about five miles west of Norwich in Norfolk, England. It lies beside the spring-fed River Tud, a tributary of the River Wensum, and retains a village green, pond and surrounding water meadows that attract birdlife and walkers.
The parish is noted for its medieval church dedicated to St Mary and the local legend of St Walstan, whose holy well and occasional observances keep a strong sense of history alive; economically it remains largely agricultural with many residents commuting into Norwich, and socially it has the relaxed, close-knit feel of a traditional Norfolk village with a pub and active community groups.
