Swardeston is a small village and civil parish in South Norfolk, about four miles south of Norwich in Norfolk, England. It sits amid arable farmland and combines a number of historic cottages with more modern homes, serving partly as a commuter village for nearby Norwich while retaining a distinctly rural character.
The village features a historic parish church and community facilities such as a village hall and pub, and is perhaps best known locally for its very successful cricket club, which is a major focus of social life. Traditionally agricultural in economy, Swardeston now mixes farming with small local businesses and commuter incomes, and it maintains the kind of close-knit community and local events typical of South Norfolk parishes.
