Seamer in North Yorkshire, England is a sizeable village and civil parish lying roughly three to four miles west of Scarborough. Situated close to the A64 and with rail links to the coast and inland, it combines a rural, agricultural character with a role as a commuter hub for nearby towns, so you’ll see a mix of traditional farms, modern housing and some light industry.
The village has a long history visible in its parish church and in the remains of the Second World War airfield known as RAF Seamer, and retains community life around a village hall, primary school and local pubs. Its proximity to coastal scenery and moorland makes it popular with walkers and people seeking quieter village life while still being within easy reach of larger towns.
