Driffield is a traditional market town in the East Riding of Yorkshire, often described as the "Capital of the Yorkshire Wolds". It sits on the fringe of rolling chalk hills with easy access to the coast, and has a railway station on the line between Hull and Scarborough, making it a local hub for surrounding farming communities.
The town retains a strong agricultural character - reflected in regular markets and the long‑running Great Driffield Show - but also supports independent shops, pubs and small light industry. Historically it hosted RAF Driffield, an airbase with wartime significance, and today the place has a lively community life centred on events, clubs and rural traditions.
