Stapleford South East is a suburban ward in the borough of Broxtowe, in Nottinghamshire, sitting on the southern edge of the town of Stapleford close to the River Erewash and the Nottinghamshire–Derbyshire boundary. The area is primarily residential, with a mix of interwar and post‑war housing, small local shopping parades and parks, and convenient road and bus links into Nottingham for commuters.
Historically the wider Stapleford area grew around framework knitting and light industry, and traces of that industrial past survive in older terraces and former mill sites. Today the ward has an active community life with local clubs, community centres and green spaces, and a social mix of long‑standing families and newer commuters drawn by relatively affordable housing and quick access to the city.
