Balderton is a large village immediately south of Newark-on-Trent in the district of Newark and Sherwood, Nottinghamshire, England. It has a strong residential feel, with easy commuter links into Newark-on-Trent and beyond via the A1 and nearby rail services, while sitting amid the gently rolling farmland and river valleys that characterise the Trent valley.
Historically an agricultural parish, Balderton later hosted a significant Second World War airfield (RAF Balderton), parts of which have been repurposed for light industry and business use, creating a mixed local economy. The village retains a lively community atmosphere with a parish church, schools, local shops and sports clubs, and offers straightforward access to countryside walks and the historic attractions of the wider Newark and Sherwood area.
