Costock is a small rural village and civil parish in the Borough of Rushcliffe, Nottinghamshire, England, with a population of around 600 at the 2011 census. It sits close to the border with Leicestershire, roughly between Nottingham and Loughborough, and retains a largely agricultural character with a number of older, stone-built houses and a parish church that dates back several centuries.
Today the village is largely residential, with many residents commuting to nearby towns while local life centres on a village hall, a pub and community groups; annual fetes and walking in the surrounding farmland are popular. The mix of historic buildings, quiet lanes and accessible countryside gives Costock a pleasant, close‑knit village feel typical of this part of the East Midlands.
