Kidlington is a large village and civil parish in the district of Cherwell, Oxfordshire, England, lying just north of Oxford beside the River Cherwell. It has medieval origins with a compact historic core – including the parish St Mary the Virgin Church – but expanded strongly in the 20th century and is often cited as one of the largest villages in England by population.
Today Kidlington combines a commuter, suburban character with pockets of local industry and retail, and is home to London Oxford Airport, which has shaped its more modern economy and links. The community is active with clubs, pubs and local events, and its location gives easy access to the city of Oxford and nearby attractions such as Blenheim Palace, so it feels both village-rooted and well connected.
