Berinsfield is a purpose-built post-war ward in South Oxfordshire, Oxfordshire, England, lying a few miles south of Oxford close to the River Thames and the A4074 corridor. Created in the 1950s on the site of a former wartime airfield, it has a suburban, low-rise character with a mixture of council and private housing, local shops, a primary school and community facilities that serve a largely commuter and local workforce.
The area has archaeological interest - evidence of earlier Roman and Saxon activity has been recorded - and its social life is shaped by steady regeneration and community projects aimed at improving services and opportunities. Economically many residents work in nearby towns and Oxford, while locally-focused amenities and voluntary groups remain important to village life.
