Kingston Bagpuize is a compact village in the Vale of White Horse district of Oxfordshire, in south‑central England, a few miles west of Oxford and close to the A420 corridor towards Swindon. It sits on the level, arable land of the Vale, with small streams feeding the local river systems and within easy reach of the chalk downland and prehistoric landscape typified by the nearby Uffington White Horse.
Historically associated with the Norman Bagpuise family and transferred from Berkshire to Oxfordshire in the 1974 boundary changes, the village combines period houses and a prominent country estate that shapes its character. Today it retains a strong village community with local clubs, pubs and village events; the local economy remains largely rural and agricultural but many residents commute to nearby towns, and the estate and village are often used for country house events and location filming.
