Hanborough is a civil parish in West Oxfordshire made up chiefly of the villages of Long Hanborough and Church Hanborough, set in gently rolling countryside to the north-west of Oxford. The parish sits close to the Cotswolds and to local attractions such as Blenheim Palace, and benefits from a station on the Cotswold Line that gives easy rail access into Oxford and beyond, making it popular with commuters as well as longer‑standing farming families.
Locally there is a strong village community feel, centred on the parish church, village pubs, a primary school and numerous clubs and societies; historic buildings and rural lanes reflect its agricultural past while recent housing and small businesses have broadened the local economy. Conservation of the surrounding landscape and easy access to nearby heritage and leisure sites help make Hanborough a mix of traditional village life and modern commuter living.
