Kiveton Park is a village and civil parish in the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham, South Yorkshire, on the northern fringe of the Sheffield urban area. It grew around Kiveton Park Colliery and the coal industry, which shaped the layout of pit cottages, welfare clubs and a close-knit community; although the colliery closed in the late 20th century, mining heritage and memorials still mark local identity.
Today the village combines post-industrial housing, small shops and green spaces and is served by a local railway station with regular services to nearby towns including Sheffield, making it a commuter-friendly spot. Social life still centres on the village hall, pubs and community organisations, so Kiveton Park feels like a place where industrial history meets semi-rural living.
