Treeton is a village and civil parish in the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham, South Yorkshire, England, set beside the meandering River Rother. It sits close to both Sheffield and Rotherham, giving it a semi-rural feel with surrounding farmland and green spaces while remaining within easy reach of larger urban centres.
The settlement has a long history shaped by agriculture and the coal-mining era, and retains a number of older buildings and a notable parish church, St Helen's Church, that hint at medieval origins. Today Treeton functions largely as a local community and commuter village with village amenities, a mixture of traditional character and post-industrial traces, and easy access to the wider South Yorkshire economy.
