Upton is an inner suburb and electoral ward of Slough in Berkshire, a largely residential area just to the west of the town centre. It comprises a mix of post‑war and later housing, local shops, schools and community facilities, with convenient road and bus links into Slough town centre and beyond; many residents commute to nearby business parks or to London and Heathrow via the M4 corridor.
The ward has pockets of historic and green interest, including the old manor of Upton Court and nearby parks such as Upton Court Park and the restored Victorian Herschel Park, which give the area a quieter, village feel in places. Its social character is shaped by Slough’s long industrial and commercial history - notably the nearby Slough Trading Estate - and by a diverse, active community that supports a range of cultural and faith organisations.
