Litton is a small rural parish in Somerset, set among the rolling limestone countryside at the edge of the Mendip Hills. It’s made up of a cluster of old stone cottages and farms with medieval roots, several listed buildings and narrow lanes, and is prized for its quiet scenery and easy access for walkers exploring the surrounding hills.
The local economy remains largely agricultural with a number of residents commuting to nearby towns such as Bath and Bristol. Community life is centred on parish events, the village hall and conservation of the rural landscape, giving it a strong sense of continuity between historic character and modern countryside living.
