Ropner

Ropner (electoral ward) is a local government ward in the borough of Stockton-on-Tees in north-east England, taking in mainly suburban streets, pockets of green space and some of the town’s older housing stock. The ward’s name recalls the locally influential Ropner family and the area sits close to the town centre and riverside, so residents benefit from parks, community facilities and easy access to the Tees corridor.

Historically part of the broader industrial landscape of Teesside, the ward today has a mixed socio-economic profile and shares in the borough’s ongoing regeneration efforts, with small businesses, schools and voluntary groups active locally.
