Grundisburgh is a small village and civil parish in East Suffolk, in the county of Suffolk, England, lying a few miles north‑west of Woodbridge and within easy reach of Ipswich. Set in gently rolling agricultural countryside close to the valley of the River Deben, it retains a distinctly rural feel with narrow lanes, hedgerows and a number of well‑preserved period houses.
The village has medieval roots and a compact centre with traditional cottages, a pub, a primary school and an active village hall, and community life is notable for local clubs, fetes and volunteering. Historically agricultural, Grundisburgh now combines farming with small local businesses and commuter households, and its historic character and quiet lanes make it a representative and popular example of a Suffolk village.
