Wingfield is a small village and civil parish in the district of Mid Suffolk, in the county of Suffolk in eastern England. It occupies typical East Anglian rolling arable countryside a few miles from the market town of Eye and within easy reach of Stowmarket, giving it a quiet rural character but reasonable connections to nearby towns.
Its most striking feature is the dramatic ruined fortified house of Wingfield Manor, a late-medieval survivor that draws interest from visitors and local historians; the village also retains a medieval parish church, traditional cottages and a farming-based local economy, with public footpaths and country lanes that make it a pleasant spot for walks and seasonal community events.
