Bulphan is a small, largely rural village and civil parish in the borough of Thurrock on the eastern fringe of Essex, England. It sits among rolling arable fields and hedgerows rather than dense suburbs, and still feels like a traditional village with a parish church, village hall and community pub at its heart.
The area combines a farming heritage with modern commuter life: many residents travel into London or to nearby town centres, while local events and fĂȘtes keep a strong village social scene. Its proximity to the industrial and river-side parts of Thurrock gives an interesting contrast between countryside and the busy economic zones along the Thames.
