Brinklow is a village and civil parish in the borough of Rugby, Warwickshire, England, sitting beside the line of the old Roman road Watling Street and close to modern main roads that make it a quiet commuter settlement for nearby centres such as Coventry and Leamington Spa. The village retains a compact high street with a parish church, a couple of pubs, a village hall and local shops, while the surrounding farmland still shapes everyday life and occasional market gardening or small rural businesses.
A striking feature is the large Norman motte-and-bailey earthwork known locally as Brinklow Castle or “the Tump”, a scheduled monument that dominates the skyline and speaks to the village’s medieval origins. Socially the community is active with clubs, school activities and annual events that give Brinklow a strong village feel despite its easy road links to larger towns.
