Lambourn is a large village and civil parish in West Berkshire, England, lying on the north edge of the Berkshire Downs within the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The parish is characterised by chalk downland, a network of gallops and public paths, and the chalk-stream River Lambourn, all of which give it a strong sense of rural landscape and opportunities for walking and riding.
Locally known as the "Valley of the Racehorse", Lambourn is one of the country's main centres for racehorse training and related equine businesses, an influence you see in the economy, local culture and social life. The area also has deep historic roots with prehistoric earthworks and a medieval parish church, and retains a village feel with pubs, shops and a close-knit community shaped by both agriculture and the racing industry.
