Brington is a small, rural civil parish in West Northamptonshire made up principally of the neighbouring villages of Great Brington and Little Brington. Set in rolling Northamptonshire countryside, it sits within easy reach of Daventry and Northampton, and has the feel of a quiet agricultural community with stone cottages, a village pub and a modest village hall at its social heart.
The parish is perhaps best known for its association with the Althorp estate and the Spencer family, which gives the area a strong historic flavour – the local church and a number of listed buildings reflect that heritage. Economically the area remains largely agricultural, though many residents now commute to nearby towns; the mix of history, country lanes and conservation-minded locals makes it a typical yet distinctive Northamptonshire village community.
