Woodford Halse is a large village in the rolling countryside of West Northamptonshire, England, that grew from a rural settlement into a busy railway community in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Its setting is typically Northamptonshire - farmland, hedgerows and small woodlands around a compact village centre with shops, pubs and a village hall.
The village’s identity was shaped by the Great Central Railway, which brought a station, yards and many jobs; the closure of those facilities in the 1960s changed the local economy and character, leaving a community that is now largely residential with active local clubs and events and many people commuting to nearby towns such as Daventry and Banbury.
