Birdham is a small village on the southern edge of Chichester, set on the Manhood Peninsula in West Sussex, England. It nestles beside the tidal creeks and saltmarshes of Chichester Harbour, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the sheltered waters around Birdham Pool make it popular for sailing, birdwatching and waterside walks.
Once a modest fishing and farming community, Birdham still has a village church, pub and community hub and combines traditional coastal trades with residents who commute to Chichester or beyond. Its position close to attractions such as the Fishbourne Roman Palace and the rolling chalk of the South Downs gives it a blend of maritime character and easy access to rural and historic sites.
