Lower Beeding is a small village and civil parish in the district of Horsham, in West Sussex, England, lying a few miles south of the market town of Horsham. It has a distinctly rural feel, set among lanes, farmland and pockets of woodland, and is best known locally for the ornamental lakes and plantings of Leonardslee Gardens, which draw visitors and seasonal interest.
The community has medieval roots and today combines agriculture and small local businesses with a number of residents who commute to nearby towns. Social life centres on village events, the hall and local clubs, while the surrounding countryside - including nearby St Leonard's Forest - makes the area popular for walking, riding and wildlife watching.
